Sony Zappin DAP Unveiled

Sony have unveiled the latest in their series of Walkman digital audio players in the form of the Sony Zappin which comes in memory stick configuration and which is undoubtedly aimed at the lower end of the DAP market.

The curiously named Sony Zappin is yet to be extensively detailed, but what is known is that the Zappin offers simple drag and drop file transfer, supports both MP3 and WMA audio file formats, comes with integrated FM radio tuner and will be offered (initially at least) with just 2GB of onboard flash based storage capacity.
The Sony Zappin, which weighs in at just 26g, also purportedly offers a playback endurance of up to 18 hours which sees it compare especially favourably with Apple’s Shuffle.
Sony are yet to confirm either the Zappin’s date of availability or pricing at the time of writing but if you’re looking for a compact DAP that’ll undoubtedly make the ideal gym companion, this may well be worth consideration.
