Although there seems to be a trend for Pico projectors these days, the folks over at Casio decided to update their Super Slims line with the appealing Casio XJ-S43W that just got widescreen support and a lower price. The new DLP XJ-S43W comes with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXVGA), weighs 4lbs and only measures 1.69-inch thick at the widest point.

An entertainment friendly addition that will keep you busy with the latest movies, the new Super Slim Casio XJ-S43W projector sports an 1800:1 contrast, brightness of 2500 ANSI lumen, a wide-angle 2x power zoom lens and an HDMI input. Just so you get things better, the XJ-S43W has a minimum distance of 2.75-ft and a maximum distance of 30-ft (for a 100-inch screen).

The new Casio XJ-S43W super slim projector is expected to hit with selected online retailers and should be availabale for $999.
