Samsung E1107 Crest Solar Cell Phone

Now that you plan to wear one of those Eco-Drive watches from Citizen, how about a solar powered candybar to go along? Luckily, Samsung have just announced their E1107 Crest Solar (also known as Solar Guru in India) a cell phone that uses a large solar cell on the back cover to gather sun energy and charge its 800mAh battery. Apparently one hour in the sun and you get 5 to 10 minutes of additional talk time.
But other than its green features, the new E1107 Crest Solar is actually a low end mobile. The dual band GSM (900/1800MHz) phone comes with 1.52 inch CSTN display (128 x 128), packs a built-in FM radio, a built-in flashlight, MP3 ringtones and the Mobile Tracker function to alert you when SIM cards have changed.
The new Samsung E1107 Crest Solar is going to be available starting this month and is rumored to cost somewhere close to $60.
