Long known as Casio C721, Verizon Wireless have officially introduced the new Casio EXILIM mobile phone. Dust, shock, temperature, and water resistant, the pivoting EXILIM clamshell features a 2.3-inch swivel LCD display (240×320 pixels), a 0.7-inch mono display on the outside, along with a 5.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabilization and a 3x optical zoom.
But although it’s not a Pre or an iPhone killer, the 5mpix Casio EXILIM clamshell features a built-in media player, offers Bluetooth connectivity, integrated GPS to go for Verizon’s VZ Navigator service and up to 8GB of memory on a microSD card. The new Casio EXILIM is already available on Big Red but it’s going to cost you a pricey $279.99 after a $50 rebate and on a 2 years contract.
Is taking pictures in the shower a good reason for not buying the new iPhone? We’ll let you decide …
