Virgin Mobile USA Announces Broadband2Go

Trying to outstretch the popularity of their prepaid cell phone services,Virgin Mobile USA have announced Broadband2Go, a 3G data service that won’t need require you to sign an annual contract. However, this pre-paid 3G Internet access service will require you to buy a Novatel MC760 USB modem that will access the web via Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. A network.
The Broadband2Go Wireless Internet service is a prepaid mobile broadband solution for those who don’t have the time seeking Wi-Fi hotspots or cables to get online on their computers.
Extremely durable and compact, the new Novatel MC760 USB modem is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux computers. It features a microSDHC slot for up to 16GB storage, comes with an internal dual-band diversity antenna, as well as an optional external antenna for enhanced performance in remote areas.
Data rates start at $10 for the 100MB package (which expires after 30 days from activation), go to $20 for 250MB, $40 for 600MB and $60 for 1GB, while the Novatel MC760 Wireless EVDO Rev. A USB modem which is only going to be available on Best Buy Mobile starting late June, will set you back $150.

what is the lanyard for? how does IT hook up to usb, and what is the small plastic piece that slides out of the modem and where can I get a Y cable for the modem? please help thanx wes
