
Created by young artist Hisako Sakihama for the “youth”, the new HP Pavilion dv6z Artist Edition have just been launched with a beautiful design that just won the 2008 HP MTV Notebook Design Contest. A mainstream laptop inspired by the sea and sky in Okinawa, Japan, the new Pavilion dv6z Artist Edition has a 16-inch display (or 15.6-inch), is powered by an AMD Turion X2 dual core processor and packs up to 8GB RAM.
Other than the mesmerizing design, the new Pavilion dv6z gets ATI discrete graphics cards that include the Radeon HD 3200, the Mobility Radeon HD 4530 with 512MB or the powerful Mobility Radeon HD 4650 with 1GB. It also packs a 500GB hard drive, a standard DVD burner, a webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, a 5-in-1 card reader and an optional Blu-ray.
With a robust entertainment software package and software applications from Corel, including Video Studio X2, Corel Painter Sketchpad and Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, the sleek new HP Pavilion dv6z will start selling from tomorrow with prices going north of $949 depending on model.
