I-O Data are adding to their range of Full HD capable players/streamers with the I-O Data AV-LS500LE AVeL Link Player/Streamer which, apart from offering 1080p HD, DivX and Xvid support, also boasts H.264 (AVCHD) compatibility as well as playing ball with MPEG-4 ASP, MPEG-2 PS/TS, MPEG-1 and WMV9 formats.

The I-O Data AV-LS500LE AVeL Link Player/Streamer, which additionally (as you’d expect) takes in a host ogf other media formats such as MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV based audio, offers network connectivity as well as compatibility with DLNA enabled devices and, thanks to offering onboard USB support, will also happily play (and stream) multimedia files from USB flash drives as well as from devices such as digital cameras and camcorders (via their respective USB cables).

Connectivity-wise, on and above the USB port alluded to previously, the I-O Data AV-LS500LE AVeL Link Player/Streamer offers up 1xHDMI, Composite, RCA, optical audio and, obviously, Ethernet support but, alas, not integrated wireless connectivity (you’ll need to hook up with your WiFi router if you’re looking for cable free streaming).

The I-O Data AV-LS500LE AVeL Link Player/Streamer is set to launch later this month in Japan and will retail for the equivalent of $138.
