OCZ have once again added to their ceaselessly expanding range of SSDs with the newly announced OCZ Agility SSD Series which OCZ bill as offering ‘the performance and reliability of SSDs at less price per gigabyte than other high speed offerings currently on the market’.
The new 2.5″ OCZ Agility SATAII SSD range consists of three capacities – 30GB, 60GB and 120GB – with each drive boasting 64MB of onboard cache, shock resistance rated at 1500G and power consumption of a mere 0.5W in standby and up to just 2W during operation which, in terms of speed, the new Agility SSDs offer up to either 185MB/s read and 100MB/s write speeds (30GB model) or up to 230MB/s write and 135MB/s read speeds (60GB and 120GB models) with all three drives boasting <.1ms seek times and a MTBF of 1.5M hours.
OCZ are yet to confirm any specific dates of availability or unit pricing.
