Kingston have announced their new SSDNow V Series SSDs at Computex which come in 64GB and 128GB capacities and which, apart from being keenly priced, are tailored specifically to users looking to upgrade from HDD to SSD storage capabilities for the first time.

The new SSDNow V Series SSDs (“V” stands for Value, incidentally) are billed as ‘value driven SSD solutions’ and come in kits comprising of the SSD drive itself (64GB/128GB), Acronis True Image cloning software (which will assist in getting the contents of your HDD across to the SSD with comparative ease), 3.5″ mounting brackets and hardware with SATA data and power cables (desktop bundle only) or a 2.5″ USB SATA external enclosure (notebook bundle).

“The SSDNow V Series upgrade bundles are a terrific solution — given the current economy — for cost-conscious consumers who want an instant performance increase on an existing computer at a very reasonable price point,” said Ariel Perez, SSD business manager, Kingston. “We are trying to garner mass-market adoption of SSDs by bundling together all of the software, hardware and step-by-step instructions in a couple of low-cost options aimed squarely at everyday users. The V Series upgrade bundles are a perfect complement to our existing line of SSDNow products that target enterprise customers and prosumers.”
