Creative have announced a new model in its ZEN Mosaic family of PMPs in the form of the Creative ZEN Mosaic EZ300 which offers revised (and slightly more easy on the eyes – though only just) aesthetics but which, considering its price point, fails to impress in terms of capabilities/features.
Sporting a 1.8″ 64K color 128 x 160 resolution TFT display the Creative ZEN Mosaic EZ300 portable media player comes in 4GB and 8GB variants, offers run of the mill audio, video and image file format support (though a great deal requiring to be transcoded via bundled software, which isn’t especially impressive) and built-in FM tuner with 32 presets.

Billed as offering up to 32 hours playback on a full charge, the Creative ZEN Mosaic EZ300 will set you back around $60 and $80 for the 4GB and 8GB versions respectively but, considering these prices points, we suspect that potential purchasers will, in the main, find themselves going else where in a bid to gain more bang for their bucks as these seem somewhat overpriced considering what’s on offer.
