New Mintpass Mintpad Envisaged

Whilst the original Mintpass Mintpad is yet to see its much anticipated and much delayed US and UK release, it seems that Mintpad are already brainstorming the next iteration of the Mintpad which, according to Mintpass’s CFO, is envisaged as being a larger device that could see GPS integration.
Whilst nothing is finalised at this stage – which is just as well as they really need to concentrate on getting Mintpad 1.0 released in the US/UK – its reported that the possible follow up version of the Mintpad will see the original Mintpad’s touchscreen, which measures in at 2.8″, increased up to a maximum of 7″ whilst the company are also considering adding GPS functionality to the device – which will allow the device to be utilised as a PND (hence adding a further string to its already impressive bow). That said, it would, as Jenn points out, also be nice to see the camera upgraded as well as Bluetooth wireless connectivity offered as standard (the latter certainly being a no-brainer as far as we’re concerned).
We’ll keep you posted.
