LG have announced the world’s first DivX HD 1080p Certified Blu-ray player, the LG BD390, which, apart from offering DivX HD support can also stream HD content wirelessly from a DLNA server.
Coming with integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, the LG BD390 Blu-ray Player additionally allows for standard and HD content playback from USB flash drives – with up to two hours of HD content, when encoded in DivX HD format, fitting onto an 8GB capacity flash drive – as well as DVDs.
“LG is heralding a new direction for the Blu-ray industry with the full-feature high-end BD390 and incorporating support for DivX HD 1080p video is a key product differentiator,” said Simon Kang, CEO and President of LG Home Entertainment. “With playback for DivX HD, the LG BD390 provides an expanded full HD viewing experience.”
The LG BD390 Blu-ray Player, which comes with 1GB of integrated storage capacity as well as BD-live support and 7.1 channel surround sound audio, will set you back just shy of $400.
