Microsoft is set to add to its range of mice with its new Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000 and Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 both of which utilise BlueTrack technology – which harnesses the combined power and precision of laser and optical tracking allowing the mice to be used on ‘virtually any surface’.

Using 2.4GHz wireless technology which offers ranges of up to 30 feet, both the Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000 and Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 come with plug-and-go ‘snap-in’ USB transceivers (offering internal storage in the mice themselves) allowing both ease of portability and storage though the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 features a new Nano style USB transceiver which happens to be the first implementation of its kind in a BlueTrack enabled mouse.

Offering up to eight months and ten months of battery life respectively, the new BlueTrack Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 5000 and Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 are set to become available as of next month (June) and will retail for around $40 and $50 a pop.
