If you’re UK based and you’ve been anxiously awaiting getting your hands of the LG Viewty Smart (or LG-GC900 if you want to be overly specific) the good news is that you’re wait is almost over as its now been confirmed that the LG Viewty Smart will see a release via Orange this month (a month earlier than was initially expected).
If you’re unacquainted with what the slimline LG Viewty Smart has to offer, by way of a somewhat cursory refresher (we have covered this before in the post linked above) the Viewty Smart smartphone/cameraphone, which boasts a thickness of a mere 12.4mm, sports a 3″ WVGA (800 x 480 resolution) touchscreen display utilising the same 3D UI as seen on the LG Arena and offers DivX and Xvid file format support as well as, of course, packing an 8 megapixel camera. Naturally, considering its smartphone status, it additionally offers up Wi-Fi wireless connectivity as well as aGPS complete with geo-tagging functionality.
We should stress at this stage that Orange are yet to officially confirm (or, for that matter, deny) the LG Viewty Smart UK’s release this month but, being that the word comes from LG themselves, we’ll happily take it as red.
