Sharp Aquos D Series Full HD LCD TV Range Launched

Sharp have just introduced a new range of Full HD LCD TV units known as the Sharp Aquos D Series which, apart from offering 1080p HD displays ranging in size from 32″ to 52″ (the range consists of 10 specific models) also offer compatibility with online video content services as well as allowing users to receive multi-channel broadcasts and video-on-demand as well as access to Aquos exclusive HD content.
Utilising Sharp’s newly developed High Quality Master Engine offering a 120Hz mode, the new Sharp Aquos D Series of HDTVs, which also employ Sharp’s new full digital 1-Bit Amp, sport contrast ratios up to 15,000:1 with auto contrast adjustment and Auto Volume technology (the latter serving to ‘smooth sudden changes in sound volume’) and are available in black, white and red.
There’s no word from Sharp at this juncture concerning specific unit pricing or (potential) availability dates outside of Japan where they have just become available.
