Corsair CMFSSD-256GBG2D 256GB SSD Now Shipping

Following on from their CMFSSD 128GB SSD, Corsair’s new solid state drive, the Corsair CMFSSD-256GBG2D, which serves to double up the storage capacity of the previous version to 256GB, has just become available and it’s not just far greater capacity that’s on offer as Corsair’s CMFSSD 256GB SSD also offers considerably more impressive read/write speeds than its 128GB counterpart (albeit at somewhat of a premium).
With purported read speed of up to 200MB/s and write speeds of up to 170MB/s, (though, interestingly, the linked online shopping portal puts both read and write speeds at 200MB/s) the new Corsair CMFSSD-256GBG2D 256GB SSD, which boasts power consumption levels of 1.5W and 0.15W (active/idle respectively) will set you back around a substantial $654 as at the time of writing.
