PhotoFast G-Monster Promise PCIe SSD

Back in March we covered the original PhotoFast G-Monster PCIe SSD which offers data transfer speeds of up to 750MB/s write and 700MB/s read and now we have the PhotoFast G-Monster Promise (again a PCI Express based solid state drive) that builds further on the speeds offered by the original G-Monster in offering up to 1000MB/s maximum read/write speeds.

Coming with a 256MB ECC DDRII data buffer, the PhotoFast G-Monster PCIe SSD, which utilises any available PCI Express x8 host bus interface, offers a MTBF of around 2.5 million hours, a data retention period of up to 5 years and a shock resistance measured at 1500G and is set to ship some time this month in Japan in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacity versions – though at the time of writing unit pricing remains unavailable.
Of course, if the read/write speeds offered by the PhotoFast G-Monster SSD still aren’t quite in the league of what you’re looking for – and if money is positively no object – there’s always the Fusion-io ioDrive Duo SSD which offers sustained write speed of 1.5Gbytes/sec paired with a sustained read speed of 1400MB/sec.
