If productivity in your office is not what it ought to be, Logitech appear to have the answer thanks to its new Comfort Wave 450 keyboard which Logitech bill as being specifically targeted at businesses ‘that want to get the most out of their IT expenditures and their workforce’.

Coming with removable wrist rest and utilising, as its name would suggest, Logitech’s comfort enhancing wave keyboard design, one would assume that the introduction of a new wired keyboard would not be anything to get especially excited about. But, Huib Ponssen, Logitech’s director of product marketing for business products, obviously begs to differ.

“In today’s economy,” says Ponssen, “smart businesses realize that equipping their staff with the right tools is a competitive advantage – and Logitech for Business can help. With workers spending more time with their computers than ever before, comfort becomes more than just a luxury – it’s now a critical strategy for enhancing productivity and reducing costs. We’re offering the Comfort Wave 450 keyboard because we’re confident that employees will love the comfort, IT managers will love that no setup or software is required for installation and purchasers will love the price.”

Well that’s us told, isn’t it? Thank God this isn’t a particularly exciting keyboard else Logitech’s director of product marketing for business products may have succumbed to a coronary induced by an overdose of adrenalin.

The Logitech Comfort Wave 450 Keyboard which is ‘ready for what businesses need right now’ (comes with a cash injection, does it? I think not) comes in at just shy of $40 a pop.
