Sony VPL-EX7 & VPL-EX70 Projectors Launch [Sony Short Throw Projectors]

By way of an alarmingly brief heads-up for all those feeling somewhat starved of breaking news in the projector world, Sony have introduced two new short throw projectors in the form of the Sony VPL-EX7 and the Sony VPL-EX70 projectors – both of which sport 1024 x 768 resolutions and can project images up to 60″ in size from a distance of a mere 1.8m.

In terms of specifics, details concerning sony’s new short throw projectors are a little on the light side, but what we can confirm is that the Sony VPL-EX7 and Sony VPL-EX70 (which is billed as being a BrighEra device) offer 500:1 and 900:1 contrast ratios respectively whilst offering 2000 and 2600 lumens brightness (again, respectively), however, Sony are yet to confirm when either projector will ship or how much each will set you back.

Still, it’s nice to know they’re up and coming isn’t it?
