JVC have taken the wraps off their new full HD display aimed specifically at photographers – namely the 42″ JVC LT-42WX70 – which not only boasts a Gamma 2.2 adjusted LCD but, in terms of color reproduction, manages to achieve 100% sRGB and 96% Adobe RGB coverage courtesy of a new DynaPix HD Picture Engine paired with 100Hz/120Hz Clear Motion Drive III technology.

The 42″ JVC LT-42WX70 1920 x 1080 slim panel LCD display, which sports a thickness of just 43mm, which offers up a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, is billed as coming with a ‘Black Leather-Like Texture Bezel Design’ (nice) and comes with Intelligent Colour Management, the aforementioned Gamma 2.2 Pre-Adjusted LCD complete with 6 presets and a not in the lest unimpressive 52 manual picture-quality adjustment properties which should impress even the most discerning of photographers looking for a display for editing and post production work.

Additional highlights include detachable speakers, Component, Composite and 3xHDMI connectivity and what JCV bill as touch sensor operation.

JVC have confirmed that their 42″ JVC LT-42WX70 Full HD display is scheduled for release in May but are yet to offer pricing details – though its safe to assume it’ll be far from cheap. Still, as Duncan points out, if you’re determined to have the best you’ll expect to pay an absolute premium.
