Panasonic SC-HC Series D-Dock iPod Docks

Panasonic have announced two new SC-HC Series iPod docking stations in the form of the D-Dock SC-HC3 and the D-Dock SC-HC4 which offer somewhat sleek, minimalist styling and which both offer 40W total output as well as integrated CD player, AM/FM tuner as well as a ‘bamboo fibre’ utilised in the speaker cones to reduce unwanted vibration and thus enhance sound output.
Both of Panasonic’s new SC-HC Series D-Dock iPod docks are indistinguishable in terms of features apart from the SC-HC3 sporting an additional SD/SDHC memory card slot which allows for the recording of CD tracks to, and playback of audio files directly from said memory cards.
Both the Panasonic D-Dock SC-HC3 and the D-Dock SC-HC4 iPod docking stations – which strike us as being rather dull in terms of features and aesthetics – are set to commence shipping in Japan from mid April with the SC-HC3, to be made available only in silver, coming in at the equivalent of $450 whilst the SC-HC4, which will be offered in black, silver and pink, coming in at $400.
