Grandstream have taken the wraps off their new VoiP and video conferencing phone, the Grandstream GXV3140 IP Multimedia Phone, which is billed as combining ‘extraordinary video quality, advanced telephony features and rich multimedia applications’ in a single desktop device.
Sporting a 4.3″ 480 x 272 resolution display, the Grandstream GXV3140 IP Multimedia Phone comes with integrated 1.3 megapixel camera complete with ‘privacy shutter’, dual Ethernet ports, SD & USB, a stereo headset jack, TV-out, stereo audio-out, and a full duplex speakerphone and, as well as boasting a full HTML web browser. Additionally the GXV3140 offers IM capabilities, access to online radio stations (with LastFM being specifically cited), as well as access to RSS feeds for news, weather, stocks news and built-in alarm clock functionality.
Described as being ‘the most advanced and Web friendly IP multimedia phone on the market’ the Grandstream GXV3140 IP Multimedia Phone is set to commence shipping in May and will set you back around $300.
