Asus Eee PC 1002H Officially Announced [Yet Another 10" Eee PC]

Interestingly, although we reported back in February that Asus were to act to cut back the Eee PC range in order to reduce costs, along comes yet another Asus Eee PC in the form of the Asus Eee PC 1002H which has just been formally announced.

The new Asus Eee PC 1002H is another 10″ Eee (do we really need yet another 10″ Eee PC?) and whilst you might expect something to stand out thus meriting another Eee release, really, there’s nothing here that appears to warrant a new model with the Eee PC 1002H offering a 10.2″ display, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel webcam and 160GB HDD. However, there is an updated Atom N280 CPU under the hood and the Eee PC 1002H does tout the ‘new’ chiclet keyboard (as featured on the 1000HE). Oh, and it offers a purported battery life of up to 5 hours and – and perhaps this (isn’t) the clincher – it’ll come in black, white and, yes, pink.

There’s no word concerning availability or pricing at this juncture.
