Many thanks for your response.

Yup, I can see what you’re saying – you’ve made a series of extremely valid points. That said, the format is hardly proving especially popular from the reports we’re seeing. Indeed, its being somewhat ridiculed by more than a few tech portals and, personally, the format does nothing for me.

We’d like to hear other people’s perspectives – if not just to establish why the format is not proving as popular as SanDisk obviously hoped it would.

"if you’re considering a purchase- as we’re fairly sure that the Sansa slotRadio must/might/could perhaps appeal to at least one of you and, in that event, we’d very much like to know exactly why"...

...Well, maybe it's the fact that it permits users to listen to music collections of unlimited size (how many micro SDHC cards can you stuff into YOUR pocket?) on a tiny, mid-priced player so simple to use that its target market could theoretically expand to encompass non-human primates. The slotRadio player is just a AAA battery shy of that holy grail personal audio devices that few have even contemplated: the future-proof MP3 player, whose capacity and power source are infinitely scalable and replaceable.
