Mophie have announced their new Mophie Juice Pack for Apple’s iPod Touch 2G which, according to Mophie, is ‘designed to more than double the time you can Watch, Rock, Surf and Send with your 2nd Gen iPod Touch’.

Designed to fit snugly to your 2^nd Gen iPod Touch, the new Mophie Juice Pack, which has just become available, will, apparently, offer up to 42 hours of additional audio playback endurance or up to 7 hours of additional video playback on top of what the 2^nd Touch offers (which, in my personal experience, is not a great deal).

Billed as being compatible with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB iPod Touch variants (which is hardly surprising as they are, after all, physically indecipherable), comes with a soft rubberized case offering ‘grip-on-the-go’ (damn, we were hoping for a case designed to slip out of our hands at every given opportunity in keeping with what the Touch presently offers), as well as a ‘Smart Power Management System’ (translates as being miniUSB connectivity) as well as ‘Intelligent Power distribution’ – basically meaning that your Touch will expend its own power prior to switching to an ancillary power offered by the Mophie Juice Pack.
