benq nscreen i91 all in one pc

BenQ has released the first of its nScreen series all-in-one PCs with the BenQ nScreen i91 serving as the company’s first foray into the AIO market (a market BenQ has had its sights set on for some time) whilst the second device in the nScreen series, namely the nScreen i221, is already set as an immediate follow up – leaving nobody in any doubt that BenQ intend to make serious inroads against the likes of the Asus Eee Top AIOs (which have made considerable inroads into what is an especially evolving market).

As stated above, information is sparse, but what is known at this stage is that the BenQ nScreen i91, which comes with an AMD Semperon 210U CPU under the hood, sports an 18.5″ 16:9 aspect ratio display as well as all the usual suspects you’d expect from an AIO: 1GB memory, built-in webcam, 4-in-one card reader, 160GB HDD, etc, etc. That said, the use of the Semperon CPU is interesting.

The BenQ nScreen i91 has just begun shipping in Taiwan for the equivalent of $517 and is said to become available sometime in April/May in the Japanese and Australian markets.

Information concerning BenQ’s second nScreen series AIO, the nScreen i221, is in somewhat shorter supply, however, what is known is that the device will sport a 21.5″ display purportedly offering Full HD capabilities and is expected to retail from Q2 – but, as yet, further specifications are proving especially hard to come by.
