Having posted about a fair few rugged notebooks of late along comes this ‘ruggedized’ 8.4″ TFT display from Stealth Computer, known as the TT-840 (rolls of the tongue, doesn’t it?) which has been built to IP68/NEMA 6P specifications to allow for outdoor and industrial applications thanks to being wholly water-tight and shockproof.

Sporting IR touchscreen controls and a 1000 cd/m2 nits sunlight readable display mounted in a highly durable aluminium alloy enclosure – making it capable of withstanding shocks up to 50g and vibration up to 5.8G – the Stealth Computer TT-840 LCD Monitor offers a maximum resolution of 800 x 600 (SVGA) and comes with VGA and USB waterproof connections as well as a 75mm VESA mount and has just become available for just shy of $2,300.
