Well, wouldn’t you know it, here’s yet another quirky external iPod speaker system which is designed to appeal to those looking for a speaker that wholly belies the fact that it is a speaker and which, in being designed as a cute, cuddly teddy bear is undoubtedly aimed to tug at the heart strings of those that couldn’t car a less about sound quality.
Okay, perhaps we’re being too harsh here. Perhaps the sound quality offered by this Music Bear iPod Speaker is positively outstanding, but we’ll wager it isn’t and, frankly, the day we’re having the fact that it may well be adorable really isn’t going to conjure any favours with us. Sorry.
Still, aside from the sound quality (the product page doesn’t even detail the output, which is telling), this ‘chic and cute’ iPod speaker system can be powered either via a USB port or via batteries (which you have to stick up its backside – charming) whilst you can adjust the volume by pressing its paws and turn it on and off by pressing its left ear.
Flippancy aside, we don’t doubt that this would be a great present for a younger child and, however, the fact that that it utilises PVC in its construction really ought to get this Music Bear iPod Speaker at least a few brownie points from us, frankly, today that just isn’t going to happen.
The Music Bear iPod Speaker will set you back $38.
