Klipsch appear to be targeting those looking for replacement headphones who cannot quite manage the outlay required for many of their higher-end offerings with two new, keenly priced in-ear headphone sets – the Klipsch Image S2 and the Klipsch Image S4.

Featuring Klipsch’s proprietary, oval ear tips, as featured on their more expensive headphone sets, which serve to offer enhanced comfort whilst offering considerable (passive – obviously) noise-cancelling capabilities, both the Klipsch Image S2 and the Klipsch Image S4 headphones will come with three sets of the aforementioned ear tips, catering for differing ear sizes as well as an ear tip cleaning tool and a compact, crush-resistant aluminum case.

‘People have less discretionary income these days. Therefore, we felt it was necessary to develop reasonably priced, high-performance headphones that go above and beyond what you’d expect from the stock earbuds that come with your MP3 player,’ said Mark Casavant, vice president of product development for Klipsch who introduced their Image S2 and Image S4 headphones, both of which will hit the shelves in April for around $50 and $80 respectively.
