Archos Releases Archos 5 TV Module

Archos have introduced their new Archos 5 TV module via their French site which snaps neatly on to the Archos 5 tablet facilitating mobile TV capabilities courtesy of dual antennas feeding dual RF tuners and RF processors.

Interestingly, as well as being capable of being a wholly self-contained device, Archos have also been thoughtful enough to include the necessary connection to hook up the Archos 5 TV Module to either digital terrestrial tuners or external antenna (such as a roof mounted antenna) so should you find reception poor when relying on the module’s integrated aerials you can always hook it up to receive stronger signals at the expense of mobility.
The Archos 5 TV Module has just been released via the aforementioned (and below linked) French Archos site for 80 EUR (approximately $102 as at the time of writing).
