Sharp are set to expand their AQUOS HDTV range with their newly announced DH77 series of Full HD LCD TV’s that are now becoming available in 32″, 37″, 42″ and 46″ versions, with a 52″ model following up later, which boast a range of eco-friendly features designed to appeal to evermore energy aware consumers.

Apart from embracing 1080p resolution with 10bit signal processing and touting 100Hz double frame drive and Natural Clear Panel technologies, Sharp’s new AQUOS DH77 HDTV range come with contrast ratios ranging from 30,000:1 to 50,000:1, integrated DVB-T digital tuners, response times of just 4ms and, in terms of connectivity, no less than three HDMI inputs and a USB port.

But where the new DH77 range really shines is in its range of environmentally friendly features such as an eco-mode that allows users to reduce the TV’s power consumption whilst viewing by changing various setting 9such as screen brightness) whilst in-built Optical Picture Control technology will also work in the background to ensure that the TV’s backlighting is employed in moderation according to a room’s ambient lighting conditions – thus ensuring an optical picture whilst making sure that no more power than is required is being utilised.
