MSI have now released their high-end gaming laptop, the 2.4GHz Intel Centrino 2 powered MSI GT725, which comes with a 17″ WSXGA (1680 x 1050 resolution) TFT LCD display driven by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 3D graphic card sporting 512MB VRAM as well as Turbo Drive Engine Technology allowing end users to overclock the GT725 ‘by as much as 15%’.

Coming with aluminium exterior, the MSI GT725 features what MSI refer to as an Aerodynamic Touch Sensor allowing users to launch applications with ease and, interestingly, also sports colorful W/A/S/D buttons which apparently allow users to ‘find the direction controls easily’ – though, in all honesty, if you’re going to splash out the cash for a high-end gaming laptop such as the GT725 one would assume that you already have a rough idea where to look for these specific keys.

Other notable features include integrated 4.1 speaker setup powered by an unspecified Dolby Digital Live HD soundcard, 4GB DDR2 memory, 320GB 7200rpm SATA HDD, 2MP webcam, 4-in-1 card reader and, as you’d expect, built-in 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Gigabit Ethernet LAN as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Supplied with a gaming backpack, the above detailed MSI GT725 will set you back just shy of $1450 or, if you wish to step up to GT725 with upgraded 1920 x 1200 display, around $1700.

UPDATE: Just located the MSI GT725 for a somewhat cheaper $1,350.
