A-DATA have chosen CeBit to announce their new 512GB XPG Notebook/Laptop SSD which they claim is (as at the time of writing) the highest capacity 2.5″ solid state drive in the industry and which they bill as being ‘designed for notebook and PC enthusiasts seeking for both fast transfer rate and high capacity SSD’.

According to A-DATA’s rather concise press release, the 512GB XPG SSD offers read speeds up to 230MB/s, write speeds up to 160MB/s and shock resistance in the 1500/0.5ms bracket whilst boasting a MTBF of a not too shabby 1.5 million hours.

Helpfully, however, A-DATA have not seen fit at this stage to confirm either the 512GB XPG SSD’s pricing or availability.
