
Digital Imaging have unveiled its new 2009 line-up of digital cameras which are set for release in the UK from April and which consists of a total of nine cameras offering from between 9 – 12 megapixels and 5x – 12 zoom in the form of the A950, A1150, A1250, E1255W, E1250W, A1050, G3WP, E1276 and X3.
Whilst General Imaging’s press release offers only a general run-down concerning the basic capabilities of each of their new nine cameras, they have confirmed that they offer ‘exciting new features’ such as auto scene detection, pan-capture panorama, optical image stabilisation and, in the case of the G3WP, waterproofing to depths of three meters.

- GE A950: 9 megapixels, 5x zoom, 2.5 inch screen
- GE A1150: 11 megapixels, 5x zoom, 2.5 inch screen
- GE A1250: 12 megapixels, 5x zoom, 2.5 inch screen
- GE E1255W: 12 megapixels, 5x zoom, 3 inch screen
Available from May:
- GE E1250W: 12 megapixels, 5x zoom, 3 inch screen
Available from June:
- GE A1050: 10 megapixels, 5x zoom, 2.5 inch screen
Available from July:
- GE G3WP: 10 megapixels, 4x zoom, 3 inch screen
Available from August:
- GE E1276: 12 megapixels, 7x zoom, 3 inch screen
Available from November:
- GE X3: 12 megapixels, 12x zoom, 2.7 inch screen
There’s no word from General Imaging at this stage concerning pricing.
