Supporting AAC, MP3 and WMA audio and MPEG-4, H.264 and WMV video file formats, the new NWZ-X1050B and NWZ-X1060B Walkmans – which come with 16GB and 32GB capacities respectively – come with 3″ OLED touchscreen displays, S Master digital amps, built-in FM tuner, integrated Wi-Fi connectivity allowing you to trawl the net, watch that skateboarding cat video again on YouTube and download podcasts and, apart from supporting noise cancelling, are billed as being the best sounding Walkmans to date.

Pricing-wise, the 16GB Sony Walkman NWZ-X1050B will set you back around $308 (circa 214GBP) whilst the 32GB Sony Walkman NWZ-X1060B will come in at around $407 (circa 283GBP) with both set to begin shipping in around four weeks (Amazon UK are accepting pre-orders already, incidentally).
