nokia n5800 xpressmusic us version

Back in October of last year when my savings bank were at least paying me nominal interest on my savings (ah, the good old days when a whole pence would be deposited in my account every month) we posted, at some length, about the touchscreen Nokia N5800 XpressMusic cell phone and now, at last, those based in North America can avail themselves of this feature-packed and not unattractive music cell phone.

Apparently on the fringes of becoming available at the flagship stores in NYC and Chicago – they have them, but, last we heard they weren’t parting with them quite yet – the north American version of the S60 5th Edition powered Nokia N5800 XpressMusic comes with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and dual-band UMTS (850/1900MHz) support (the latter specifically catering for 3G networks such as AT&T in the US and Rogers in Canada).

You can read up on all the features the N5800 XpressMusic has to offer in our initial posting (as linked above) thus allowing us to cut to the chase and confirm that the handset will set you back around $400 in the US (making it actually more expensive than the European variant which has, as you are no doubt aware, been available for some time).
