safari-4-beta

If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking to try out new iterations of browsers to test out their new functionalities (before all to inevitably falling back once again to Firefox) so you’ll no doubt be positively itching to give Apple’s new Safari 4 Beta (public release) which comes with a host of new features – including iTunes inspired Cover Flow display of bookmarks and browsing history as well as a top sites list with thumbnails – a quick spin.

Of course, if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch or a Mac then you’ll be getting Safari 4 either sooner or later but for those running Windows we’d still recommend giving the new version of Apple’s Safari browser a try as, so far, we’ve found it a particularly engaging browser that may (we use the term ‘may advisably) see Safari making somewhat more of an inroad against the likes of Firefox, Opera, Google’s Chrome (which we’re mightily impressed with) and IE (shiver) than has been the case to date (I quick look at my server referral logs show just how many of you use Safari as your preferred browser – and it’s a particularly poor showing).

Rather than give you a complete run down concerning what the Safari 4 Beta has to offer, apart from the above and advising that it also includes CSS5 and HTLM5 support (round of applause this end) as well as improved Javascript handling, you can verse yourself with the full range of features and improvements, as well as download Safari 4 Beta, via Apple’s Safari page.

Although claimed by Apple as fastest browser, I dont think its qiute that fast! I have used many other browsers and feel that google crome is the fastest of them all. By the way they have added new features such as “cover flow” which I like very much.
