Scantron iNSIGHT 20 Desktop Document Scanner

Scantron has announced the iNSIGHT 20 which is a compact desktop scanner that offers the dual benefits of document imaging technology and accurate optical mark recognition. The company has positioned the scanner for industry use such as testing, surveys, attendance, patient encounter, grading, student portfolios, personnel records, archiving, and general back file conversions.

Scantron can scan grayscale images and store them digitally with the help of the ScanTools Plus software. The scanner can read fine machine print and hand-print, matter that human eyes would find difficult to read. It can read data in the form of bubbles, check marks, tick marks. It can also read bar codes. When set to the document imaging mode the scanner is capable of scanning up to 1,800 two-sided black & white, grayscale and color images at 200 dpi every hour. You can process sheets of different sizes and thicknesses in a single batch. The scanner also lets you name and archive image clips.

Document imaging output resolution ranges from 75 to 1200 dpi.
