Plays Music, Records Voice Clips

Following on from news concerning Digital Foci’s Photo Book on Wednesday, Unibnd have also announced their new photo book (in essence a portable digital picture album) which is known as the Unibind Photos N Sounds and which is apparently ‘the first photo book that allows anyone to record a personalized voice message’.

Interestingly, or not, if personalised voice messages are not your thing then its nice to know that the Unibind Photos N Sounds also comes with a number of pre-recorded music including ‘Happy birthday’ and even Christmas carols to, in Unibnd’s words, ‘enhance your photo memories’. Now I don’t know about you, but the very thought of this sends shivers down my spine, but perhaps that’s just me (sorry, just strikes me as rather tacky).

Curiously, however, whilst Unibnd’s press release goes to great lengths to try to impress upon us that recording voice clips and playing pre-recorded tinned music is an almighty revelation – including mentioning the Photos N Sounds digital photo book’s ‘easy-to-use patent-pending technology’ that allows you to ‘just press and hold the record button and start recording your personal message’ (clever stuff) – they actually omit to mention details such as the Photos N Sounds’s display size (or even the product’s overall size), or any other apparently trivial details such as battery life, connectivity, inbuilt memory capacity, etc.

No word on pricing as yet though Unibnd have at least confirmed that their Photos N Sounds photo will commence shipping as of 1st May (at which point we hope they’ll be less guarded about exactly what’s on offer).
