OCZ Technology appear to be taking a break from releasing solid state drives in a bid to diversify into computer keyboards with their announcement of the up and coming OCZ Alchemy Series Illuminati Keyboard which offers either blue or red LED backlighting according to user taste and which sports fourteen internet and multimedia hot keys.
Billed as being ‘perfect for users that prefer darkened rooms or gamers frequenting LAN parties’ as well as proving particularly useful during power cuts (we’ll get comments back on that, you watch), the OCZ Alchemy Series Illuminati Keyboard, which is detailed as being a Windows only USB keyboard, measures in at 215 x 495 x 30mm, weighs 850g and each rubber coated key, which designed to ‘improve tactile feel and comfort’, offers a purported life span of five million cycles.
OCZ Technology are yet to confirm either the OCZ Alchemy Series Illuminati Keyboard’s pricing or detail and specific release date at the time of writing.
