Honeywell 82" Altura LE Series Full HD LCD HDTV

The world my be in the grips of a particularly bracing economic recession but that doesn’t seem to serve as any barrier to US company Honeywell who are lining up a new range of LCD HDTV unit which includes the 82″ Altura LE Series Full HD LCD TV monster, the MT-HWGWT8218AM.
One of five new models set to be offered by Honeywell – which additionally comprise of 47″, 57″, 65″ and 70″ HDTV models – the 120Hz, 16.7 million color Honeywell 82″ Altura LE Series MT-HWGWT8218AM offers 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen format, 178 degree viewing angle, a not too shabby 120,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 600cd/m2 brightness. Additionally, as with all the aforementioned Altura LE Series LCD HDTVs, the 82″ Altura LE comes with a multitude of inputs – specifically 3x HDMI, 2x Component Video, VGA, Composite and S-Video. From an audio perspective you can also factor in 2 x 10 watts stereo output complete with SRS audio and Dolby digital.
Measuring in at a colossal 79.6″ x 52.9″ x 17.9 inclusive of stand and weighing a considerable 303lbs/137.4kg, Honeywell are yet to announce either pricing or availability concerning their 82″ Altura LE Series MT-HWGWT8218AM but its safe to assume that this beast of a HDTV will be reserved for those with especially deep pockets.
