d link powerline dhp 303

The D-Link Powerline DHP-303 Ethernet plug makes use of the existing electrical cabling in our homes to bring internet connectivity to us. This system does away with the investment and effort required for cabling when creating a LAN at home.

So even without having to create a wired LAN or introducing Wi-Fi, you get a home network in which you can use power outlets in the house for connecting digital media devices as well as network storage devices. The D-Link Powerline DHP-303 can deliver data speeds of up to 200Mbps. The high data transfer rates mean that the DHP-303 can support bandwidth intensive applications such as VoIP phones, hi-def video streaming and online gaming devices.

The D-Link prioritizes internet traffic which means that web surfing and file downloads will not suffer because of other multimedia applications on the LAN. You can add multiple devices to the LAN by connecting a switch or a wireless access point to the D-Link adaptor that can be plugged into any wall outlet directly without the need for cables.

The adaptor goes into sleep mode to conserve power if it detects that no data transfer has taking place over a period of time. Data transferred using the DHP-303 is protected as the plug uses 3DES encryption.
