Samsung Korea announced two new LCD monitors this Sunday, the LD190G and LD220G are 19-inch and 22-inch monitors, respectively. The two monitors constitute the new LapFit line and will be released in March in Korea. The LD190G will retail for $165 and the LD220G will sell for $215.
These LCD monitors are meant for use with portable computers and they offer users an option to run business-critical programs on the main computer and use the LapFits for running IMs, videos, music, etc.
These widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) monitors will rest at around the same height as your laptop; they feature adjustable tilt angles in the range of 10 degrees – 30 degrees. A 20,000:1 contrast ratio and a 1,360×768 pixel resolution promise sharp and clear images. A 4 ms response time will enable clearer vision and reduced blurring, particularly when viewing action sequences. USB 2.0 connectivity is present but there is no clarity if it can be used to power the monitors. What is known is that monitors promise low power consumption.
