Toshiba Intro Qosmio WXW/77GW & Qosmio WXW/79GW Laptops

With little in the way of fanfare, Toshiba Japan have announced two new Qosmio WXW laptops – specifically the Qosmio WXW/77GW and the Qosmio WXW/79GW – which appear to be scheduled for release in Japan later this month – though quite whether they’ll see a wider release remains unknown.
The new Toshiba 17″ Qosmio WXW laptops come with 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 and 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo P8600 CPUs paired with Intel PM45 Express Chipset and 1024MB Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTX and 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9700M graphics cards (both WXW/79GW and WXW/77GW respectively), 2GB PC3-8500 DDR3 RAM (upgradeable to 4GB) and offer maximum screen resolutions of 2048 x 1536.
Both laptops also come with DVD Multi optical drives, integrated WiFi 802.11b/g/n and a host of connectivity ports including eSATA and HDMI whilst, in terms of audio both come with built-in Harman Kardon 5 speaker setups (dual stereo and single integrated sub woofer). A fingerprint reader is also in evidence.
Both the Toshiba Qosmio WXW/77GW and the Qosmio WXW/79GW will be offered in four specific variants with one of the Qosmio WXW/79GW models forgoing its 160GB HDD for a 128GB SSD.
