Nikon Coolpix S230 / S220 Cameras

The new Nikon S-Series line of cameras launched on Tuesday consists of four cameras – S630, S620, S230, S220. Both the S230 and S220 are 10 megapixel cameras that are compact, easy to use, and elegant to look at. You can choose the two cameras from a number of color choices with lyrical names like Soft Silver, Warm Silver, Aqua Green, Gloss Red, Night Blue, Cobalt Blue, Magenta and Black.
Features common to the two cameras are -
- Blink Proof, Quick Retouch, Scene Auto Selector and Scene Mode
- 10 effective megapixel
- Nikkor 3x zoom lens
- ISO 2000 sensitivity range
- Motion Detection
The Blink Proof feature means that you will not catch your subjects with their eyes closed. Quick Retouch lets you edit images taken using Nikon D-SLR cameras. Electronic vibration reduction and motion detection enables a steady camera when an image is clicked.

The Nikon S230 comes with a 3.0-inch touch screen and offers seventeen scene modes. The S220 is 18mm in length and weighs around 100 g, it comes with a 2.5-inch touch screen and offers sixteen scene modes.
The S230 and S220 will be available from 20th February onwards and will cost $229.95 and $149.95, respectively.
