EchoStar SlingLoaded HD DVR 922 Set-top Box

The EchoStar SlingLoaded HD DVR 922 is a set-top box that combines the Slingbox and DVR in a single product. The product helps overcome a problem associated with Slingboxes. When using a Slingbox, viewers both remote and those at home are resigned to viewing the same channel if watching TV simultaneously.

The EchoStar SlingLoaded HD DVR 922 comes preloaded with Slingbox as well as multiple satellite and over-the-air HD tuners. This enables local and remote viewers a choice for watching two separate video feeds. Dish is offering another alternative to enjoy personal viewing with the HD DVR 922; an LCD flat TV that connects wirelessly with the HD DVR 922. You can place the TV anywhere in the house and enjoy DVR and TV programs, no wiring hassles.

Onscreen RSS feeds for weather, news, stocks is a neat feature with this device which offers easy operations by means of a touchpad remote. The 922 supports external hard drives plus an internal memory of 1 terabyte which gives 1000 hours of viewing.

The product is due for a Spring 09′ release, initially it will be available only to Dish Network subscribers.
