In January, 3DVU announced the arrival of Way2Go, a unique first in navigation. The company which offers patented 3D image navigation and location based services has said that this particular mobile app and online mapping service will enable users to place routes in 3-D on their mobile phones.

This synchronized web-to-mobile application is an interesting idea which presents an aerial view with actual elevation. The countries covered include the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, etc. Way2Go will be available as a subscription-based service to users for a prepaid $4.99 per month. It will offer web-based route planning wherein you can prepare a route map online on your PC and then transfer it to your mobile device for reference while traveling. Each month, you can use the facility for 30 routes covering up to 3,000 km in total. The mobile 3D viewer is a free-to-use application.

The service will be made available this quarter and more than two hundred million mobile users owning Symbian S60 devices from brands such as Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola will be able to use it. Way2Go features real-time GPS tracking and turn-by-turn voice and text guidance.
