Panasonic came up with what was perhaps the most exhaustive line-up of plasma HDTVs at the CES. The Panasonic Viera brand of plasma TVs has several new series scheduled for release in 2009. These include the Z1, V10, S1, G10, and X1.
The Z1 series is touted to be the flagship Viera plasma line in 2009. It features a panel that is a mere one-inch thin plus wireless HD connectivity. The Viera Cast web menu enables HD movie streaming from Amazon Video-on-Demand. The Z1 series will be available in summer 2009 as model TC-54Z1, 54-inch class screen size.
The V10 series features slim 2-inch thin plasma HDTVs that come with built-in tuners. The V10 series of HDTVs also offer Digital Cinema Color that enable viewing of all movie-essential colors as well as the Viera Cast web menu with Amazon Video on Demand services. The V10 series will be available in summer 2009 in the following sizes – 65-inch, 58-inch, 54-inch, and 50-inch.
The G10, S1, X1 series feature a NEO PDP design which allows the TVs to generate the same amount of brightness using half the energy as compared to other models, a high contrast ratio of 40,000:1, 1080p resolution, and more.
