Canadian company Eurocom have just confirmed that their Clevo D900F notebook is to face launch delays following on from their decision to equip the D900F with Intel’s latest, and mightily powerful Core i7 processor which will also be complimented by Nvidia’s up and coming G280 GPU – resulting in a seriously desirable powerhouse of a notebook (and the first notebook to boast a Core i7 under the hood).
The 17″ Eurocom Clevo D900F notebook, which measures in at 397 x 298 x 51mm and weighs in at a substantial 5.4kg/11.9lbs and is based on the X58 chipset, is specifically being touted as being made available with three choices of Intel i7 CPU (specifically 2.66GHz, 2.93GHz and 3.2GHz) and will come with three 500GB SATA-300 7200rpm HDDs offering a total of 1.5TB of storage, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, the aforementioned Nvidia GeForce G280 GPU, a Blu-ray burner or 8x Multi DVD burner and, of course, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Gigabit LAN.
There’s no word on pricing as at the time of writing – though you can bank on the Eurocom Clevo D900F costing an arm and a leg when it becomes available sometime in the last quarter of ‘09.
