Acer B-Series Ergonomic LCD Monitors [B233HU Bmidhz and B273HU Bmidhz]

The new B-series ergonomic LCD monitors from Acer – the B233HU Bmidhz and B273HU Bmidhz feature flexible adjustment and an ergonomic design ideal for office use where one has to stare at the screen for the better part of eight hours.

Both the 23-inch B233HU Bmidhz and the 27-inch B273HU Bmidhz are capable of a 15-degree upward tilt and a 5-degree downward tilt. The stand can swivel 35 degress on either side and there is an 11cm height adjustment. The monitors feature a dark gray bezel and a black base. A 16:9 aspect ratio and a 2048×1152 resolution enable high-definition viewing.

Acer has paid special attention to image clarity; the Acer Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) gives a respectable 40000:1 contrast ratio. You can adjust the contrast on each frame of an image to bring out the details. Also, the ACM technology helps save power. The B233HU offers 300 cd/m2 brightness and the B273HU offers 400 cd/m2 brightness. Both monitors have two inbuilt 1.5 W speakers and both are Energy Star compliant. Both models have a 5ms response time which means you can view fast-moving action images without any blurring.

The Acer B233HU Bmidhz is available for $289 and the Acer B273HU Bmidhz costs $409.
